It’s been over a decade since I last updated this blog.
Back then, The Savage Feast was mostly a place for recipes—a creative outlet for my husband, Chris, and I during a different chapter in our lives. But like most things, I’ve changed. My values have deepened. My priorities have shifted. And now, this space needs to reflect the things that matter most to me.
I’m bringing The Savage Feast back not just as a food blog, but as a space rooted in values—the kind that shape the way Chris and I live every single day.

Why Now?
I’m 56. I recently left my job that, one that I loved, but it became too much. I walked away because I want to build a life based on more intention—not more stress. I want my work to be about more compassion, sustainability, creativity, and truth.
And at this stage in my life, I feel more clarity than ever:
This is the work I want to do.
This is the story I want to tell.
Veganism isn’t just a diet. It’s a path that weaves together animal advocacy, environmental awareness, sustainability, health, and self-sufficiency. Some people come to it through their love for animals, others through climate concern or a desire to eat better. However you arrive here, it’s all connected—and everything I share is meant to support that journey.
What You’ll Find Here:

This is a deeply personal project for me—but it’s also meant to be shared. If you’re trying to live more in alignment with your values, eat more plants, grow your own food, or just slow down and reconnect with the earth—I hope this space encourages and inspires you.

I’m also sharing these stories and recipes because I know I’m not done learning. I never am. There are people out there—maybe you—who have insights, ideas, and experiences that could take what I do to another level. If I can use this blog, this voice, to create a space where that knowledge is shared, then it becomes about more than just what I know—it becomes a conversation. A collaboration. That’s powerful.
Thanks for coming back. Or maybe for joining for the first time. Either way—welcome to The (new) Savage Feast.
